Quality
The carpet outlives the sale
Pile weight, backing bond and colour fastness are what decide whether a carpet still looks right in five years. We specify them, we test them, and we do not substitute a cheaper backing to win a price.
About the company
A Baghdad carpet and moquette factory with an import arm behind it — built so that what we weave and what we sell come from the same standard.
The company
Al-Nassajoun — the Arabic word for the weavers — is a carpet and moquette manufacturer based in Jurf al-Naddaf, Baghdad. Alongside the mill we run an import arm that brings in the raw materials the Iraqi carpet trade depends on.
Our factory sits on two adjoining plots in District 10, Tuwaitha, on 25,900 square metres of land held freehold in the company's name. Under that roof we take yarn in at one end and send finished carpet and moquette out the other — dyeing, weaving, tufting, backing, shearing and cutting all in the same place.
Because we buy raw material for our own production, we buy it well and we buy it in volume. That is how the import side of the business started, and it is why other mills, workshops and retailers across Iraq now buy their yarn, jute backing and dyes from us as well.
We supply the range that Iraqi buyers actually ask for: mosque carpet and prayer rugs, wall-to-wall moquette for homes and offices, contract carpet for hotels, and event moquette by the roll — alongside imported rugs and furnishings for the wholesale market.
Three words on our door
They are carved on the front of the factory. They are also the only three promises we ask to be judged on.
Quality
Pile weight, backing bond and colour fastness are what decide whether a carpet still looks right in five years. We specify them, we test them, and we do not substitute a cheaper backing to win a price.
Elegance
Traditional Iraqi and Persian-inspired patterns, plain and textured modern moquette, and mosque carpet laid out to the correct prayer-row geometry. We match colourways to the space, not to whatever is left on the shelf.
Trust
One price, one lead time, one specification — confirmed in writing before production starts. If a shipment is going to be late, you hear it from us first.
Who we work with
Yarn, jute backing, latex and dyes in commercial quantities, with consistent lots so your production does not shift colour mid-run.
Finished carpet, moquette rolls, rugs and furnishings — ours and imported — at trade terms, with stock you can reorder.
Hotels, offices, mosques, halls and government projects. Specification support, samples, phased delivery to site and installation-ready rolls.
